Trick or Drink
This policy explains what Trick or Drink, a program of 1000183181 Ontario Inc operating as Bar Crawl Connect (“Trick or Drink”, “we”, “us”), collects when you use trickordrink.ca, buy tickets to our crawls, or opt in to our SMS Program, and what we do with it.
Mobile information and SMS consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with vendors and service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.

Where your information is processed. We are based in Ontario, Canada, but several of our providers store and process information on servers in the United States, including our SMS provider (Twilio), ticketing (Eventbrite), email delivery and advertising measurement. While information is outside Canada it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We only use providers contractually required to protect it.
We use essential cookies and lightweight analytics to keep the site working and understand what pages are useful.
We also use third-party advertising and measurement trackers, including the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. These set cookies and send limited event data to those providers, such as pages viewed, sign-ups started and ticket purchases completed, so we can measure which ads work and show ads to people who have visited our sites. They do not receive your SMS opt-in data.
You can limit this through your browser or device advertising settings, through Meta’s own ad preferences, or with your browser’s cookie controls.
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to run our crawls, and as long as the law requires. SMS consent records are kept for as long as you are subscribed and for a period afterwards, because we are required to be able to prove that consent was given. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
Every unsubscribe option we send stays valid for at least 60 days after the message, and we action any request within 10 business days, as required by Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL). You can withdraw consent at any time, at no cost.
Our crawls are for adults of legal drinking age, which is 19+ in Ontario. Our site and SMS Program are not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The current version always lives at this page, with the effective date above.
Write or email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to make a privacy complaint. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
